HI, I'M KATE
I'm a twenty-eight year old gal who fell completely in love with her hobby and made it into something more. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago but have always found myself somewhere else. In 2018, I traveled to New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa for what was supposed to be one year. Of course, I was doing everything in my power to stay longer. My job at the time ended up sponsoring me, giving me THREE extra years in NZ and in the meantime, I met my amazing partner, Brad.
I now live in Twizel, NZ with Brad, our cat Whitby, and our dog Pablo. I have always dreamt of living amongst the mountains and wow it’s a dream come true to live in such a picturesque country.
I’m incredibly proud and grateful to be where I am, getting to photograph so many couples in love amongst some unreal scenery. I’ve always done my best to live by the motto, “follow the sun”; meaning follow what makes you happy, what is constantly making you laugh, feel alive and what brings out the best YOU.
Now that you know a little about me, I can’t wait to get to know you; and most importantly, I can’t wait to start making everlasting memories for you to look back on!

How lucky am I to have two homes? Having grown up in the suburbs of Chicago to creating a beautiful life in New Zealand. If you didn’t know already, their seasons are opposite! This means I’m able to travel back and forth for the wedding seasons.
My home base is Twizel, New Zealand, so when I confirm my Chicago travel dates each year, I’ll be sure to update my travel page so you know if you’re able to book me!
If you’re living in the states and want to book me, but not in Chicago, please let me know! Chicago is where my family is based but I am up for traveling to wherever you need me.
