Hey all, I'm Kate! Your Lake Tekapo + Pukaki wedding + elopement photographer. I'm based in the heart of the Mackenzie District, Twizel. I moved to Twizel with my partner, Brad end of 2022 and completely fell in love with the endless views of mountain peaks and emerald lakes. Less than 40 minutes away from Twizel, is the beautiful Lake Tekapo + Pukaki - both absolute gems of locations to get married at!
Lake Tekapo is loved by many and visited often no matter what season. From the vibrant colours of the lupins in spring to snowy southerns alps in winter to the warm golden hues in autumn, Lake Tekapo offers every seasonal backdrop, so you can choose the perfect time for your dream wedding. Not to mention Tekapo is a designated dark sky reserve - imagine saying vows under a blanket of stars!
Lake Pukaki's view of Mount Cook is unmatched, making it an extraordinary location to get married at. This lake offers you a sense of tranquility and seclusion, making it a perfect location for the couples who want to get married in privacy.
