Angela + Strawn are alllll the way from Oklahoma City in the states. If you don’t know already, I’m from Chicago and have been living in New Zealand for 5 years now! I absolutely LOVE when American’s book me because their voices feel like a little piece of home 🙂
A + S are the sweetest couple ever! Them and their two friends (also elopement witnesses) were travelling around New Zealand for a few weeks. One of their last locations to visit was Lake Tekapo and that’s where they decided to say, “I do”. As you can see from the photos below, the day was absolutely beautiful!! Sun was shining, the weather warm, and nothing but good vibes and tons of laughs.
A + S decided to have their intimate ceremony in the garden of their Airbnb property. We all loved this idea as we wanted to have a bit of shade as A + S exchanged vows. Not to mention, the garden was so pretty – full of lush green bushes and private from the Lake Tekapo town. After their ceremony, we drove just a few minutes into Lake Tekapo town where there was a field with long grass and amazing views of the lake + mountains.
The elopement day was perfect and wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing celebrant, Jade Whaley and florist, Floral Harvest.
If you’re looking for a mountain loving photographer for your Lake Tekapo / Pukaki elopement, you’re right where you should be! The mountains spark a creativity in me like no other.
